DISCLAIMER, WARNING, AND GENERAL STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES:

This Journal is used as (1) a repository for personal thoughts, and (2) to explore writing about various topics, many of which are objectionable to some/most people. Some of the subject matter that is written about would - like every murder-mystery ever written - be ILLEGAL if it were acted out. One of the reasons - although certainly not the only reason - that I am interested in such material is because I find it useful in working on my Issues. Also, I believe in the tranformative and restorative power of trying to make art out of the difficult aspects of the human condition, even when the artist isn't particularly good at it - and I freely acknowledge that I am not very good at it. But I am trying. And yes, I also understand that this sounds terribly pretentious, but I blame the need to say it on the WFI/Writing Responsibly movement, and I can't think up a better way to say it at the moment.

So. Just in case all that wasn't clear: I do not condone or support real-life illegal activity. I do not wish, desire, or intend that anyone reading the material in this journal decide to carry out the fictional activities written about or discussed herein. To the best of my knowledge, I never interact online with anyone under the age of 18, and take active steps to avoid doing so. I am utterly uninterested in young people in RL, and pretty much try to avoid everyone that's not at least 25.

You may not friend this journal if you are
- easily impressionable;
- under age 21;
- looking for a manual on how to do anything illegal, are currently engaged in the pursuit of illegal activites, or even *thinking about* doing anything illegal.
Nor may you friend me if you are are generally an idiot.

If I friend you and find out that you are, in fact any of the above, you will be banned from my journal. And don't friend me if you're pro-censorship, either, damnit.

ETA: And you can't friend me if you're one of those idiots that believes that writing about illegal activites equates to hate speech about Christians. Be a good little zealot and run along. God and I are on fine terms, thanks muchly.

My fandom involvement is primarily a beta-reader, although I do write as well. Regarding my beta-abilities, I like to think I'm pretty good; my specialty is helping keep the character motivations consistent and in keeping with your character's personality throughout the fic. I will also mercilessly trim all extraneous words from your fic. You'll probably keep them, but I am compelled to delete, delete, delete. This is why I write so little. :) And hey, I like to beta, so please feel free to ask me to take a look at your fic!

Current fandoms are HP and various RPS-based 'verses. But reading Star Wars fic isn't completely out of the question. >.>
